DRAFT — for a lawyer to review before publication. This page is not legal advice, it is not in force, and it should not be relied on until a qualified Australian lawyer has reviewed it.
Terms of use
DRAFT. Last sketched 14 October 2026. Not an agreement, not legal advice, and not in force.
You may only scan what you are allowed to test
The checkbox on the scan form is a condition of use. You must own the app, or have clear permission from the owner. Pointing LaunchVet at another person's site is not allowed. Probing systems you are not authorised to test can be a criminal offence under the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth) and under similar laws elsewhere. The reviewing lawyer should settle this clause.
What the checkup is
LaunchVet fetches a public URL and the scripts that page loads from the same host. It checks headers, HTTPS, obvious secrets, search tags, page weight, and whether privacy and terms pages are linked. It does not log in, exploit vulnerabilities, or query databases. A grade is a hint. It is not a penetration test, a certification, or a promise that the app is safe to launch.
Findings can be wrong
A pattern match can be a false positive, including a key that is public by design, such as a Supabase anon key. A clean grade can be a false negative. Each finding is labelled confirmed or possible. You are responsible for rotating keys and for checking the fix before you ship it.
Paid plans are not on sale yet
The prices shown (Launch Report A$29 once, Watch A$19 a month, Fix-it-for-me A$249, Agency A$99 a month) are the intended prices in Australian dollars. Checkout is not connected. A button that says checkout is not available is not an offer you can accept. Refunds, the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law, and how a subscription would cancel are for the lawyer to write before any charge is taken.
Liability
Placeholder only. A lawyer needs to draft a liability cap that is fair and enforceable, including what cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Do not treat the absence of a cap on this draft as an unlimited promise.
Law
Placeholder. The intention is that the governing law is an Australian state or territory, once the operating entity exists. That choice is not made on this draft.
